Haryana govt to centralise women helpline number

Besides deploying special women police officers, Haryana government will centralise the helpline number-1091 to ensure the safety and security of the women in the state.

This was stated by the Haryana chief minister (CM) ManoharLalKhattar on Thursday while presiding over a meeting of Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates (CMGGAs).

He said that initially these women police officers would be deployed in two districts of the state on pilot basis and later on these would be deputed in other districts also. The Police MitraKakshYojna has been implemented in two districts namely Karnal and Rohtak and getting the feedback from the people of the state, the scheme would be rolled out in remaining districts also, he added.

Khattar said that the women police volunteers system would be further strengthened so that they could provide services to the people more efficiently.

While reviewing the ‘Dial 100’ scheme of the Police Department, he was informed that the scheme would be implemented by November 2018. He was also informed that 380 services of the state have been linked with the e-taal scheme of the Central government. Apart from this, e-dishacentres would be renovated at a cost of about Rs 33 Crore.

The CM also directed the officers to generate maximum awareness among the people about various online services started by the state government so that they could take maximum benefit of the same.He said, “In the present government, the image of the Tehsildars has been improved and people are getting services in time. To eradicate corruption in the Tehsil offices, the officers should prepare a single cadre for clerks so that they could be rationalised.”

Khattar  also issued directions to dispose of the pending cases of intakals and timely registration of the same by using Information Technology (IT).The CM also reviewed HALRIS (Haryana Land Record Information System), social audit of development works and activities of Development and Panchayats Department.
