2 nabbed for extortion, promise for govt job
Two individuals were arrested on charges of extortion for promising jobs in the state food and supplies department.
Wishing the officers and officials of Haryana Police a happy and prosperous New Year 2018, state’s Director General of Police (DGP) BS Sandhu on Monday exhorted them to ensure that no injustice is done with the elderly people, women and children.
Sandhu said that the police officials should discharge their duties with utmost dedication and commitment keeping in view the safety and security of the people of the state.
He said that the officers and officials of the department at a district level should maintain proper co-ordination with the people and also motivate them to assist the police in case they witness or having any information about crime.

Besides, they should be assured that the police is always ready for their safety and security. By doing so, we could further improve the image of the police and also set new dimensions, he added.
