‘Gyan Bharatam Survey’ highlighted in Mann Ki Baat: Virendra Sachdeva

Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva

Listening to the 132nd edition of Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva described the programme as a unique public dialogue platform initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and one of the longest-running inspirational outreach initiatives by any head of state globally.

Sachdeva, who listened to the programme with residents in Mandawali in the presence of party leaders and workers, said that Mann Ki Baat provides national recognition and respect to individuals from diverse sections of society, particularly those carrying out exceptional work in remote and challenging conditions.

He highlighted that the Prime Minister, in this edition, referred to the “Gyan Bharatam Survey,” an initiative aimed at compiling manuscripts from across the country that reflect India’s rich cultural and intellectual heritage.

Sachdeva further noted that the monthly programme consistently offers inspiration and direction to citizens. He said that this episode placed special emphasis on key national themes such as youth participation through My Bharat, the Ranji Trophy, water conservation efforts, fitness and healthy lifestyles, and renewable energy initiatives like PM Surya Ghar Yojana—all of which encourage nation-building through public participation.

Delhi BJP’s Mann Ki Baat programme arrangements in-charge Rajan Tiwari stated that party workers from around 8,250 booths at 6,573 locations across the capital tuned in to the broadcast along with local MLAs, councillors, and office bearers.

Union Minister Harsh Malhotra listened to the programme at Vishwas Nagar, where he remarked that the Prime Minister highlights inspiring stories of individuals who, despite limited resources, are making extraordinary contributions to society.

He added that through Mann Ki Baat, such stories reach millions of citizens, spreading positivity and motivation across the nation.

Meanwhile, at the state BJP office, media head Praveen Shankar Kapoor and party staff also tuned in to the programme.

Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari listened to the broadcast at the Delhi University residential campus along with a professor’s family and local residents. Many first-time listeners described the programme as a “treasure of knowledge” and expressed their intent to follow it regularly.

Other MPs and MLAs, including Yogendra Chandolia, Bansuri Swaraj, and Praveen Khandelwal, also listened to the programme at various locations across their constituencies.
