Four, including 3 children, killed in Himachal school bus accident

Three children and the driver of a school bus was killed while 16 others suffered injuries after the bus in which they were travelling fell into gorge in Sangrah area of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh.

The accident took place on Saturday morning near Kharkoli on Dadahu-Sangrah road.

The driver of the vehicle lost control and fell into gorge. Three children, identified as Sameer, Adarsh, Kartik, and the driver, Ramswaroop, were killed on the spot.

The injured have been admitted in Dadahu Hospital while seriously injured have been referred to hospital in Nahan.

The death toll is likely to rise.

This is the second major bus accident in less than two weeks in Himachal.

On 27 December last year, as many as 35 students of a computer training centre, on their way to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Dharamshala, were injured when their bus overturned in Jawali sub-division of Kangra district.

In April 2018, around 30 people, including 27 school children, two teachers and a driver, were killed after a school bus they were travelling in fell into a 500-feet gorge near Nurpur.
