E-Panchayats to root out corruption, says Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister (CM), Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday said that e-Panchayats will be fully successful in zero tolerance towards corruption and root it out completely.

Addressing a large public meeting after inaugurating and laying foundation stones of several projects of Rs 85 Crore at Ambala City on Thursday, the CM said only those people are objecting to e-panchayts who had an aptitude for creating problems only.

Khattar said just like initial problems faced on the implementation of Goods and Services Tax, which was later removed, e-panchayat problems arising due to lack of computer knowledge will be overcome in a few months and then the system will perfectly run in abolishing corruption. He urged the people to make the people aware and educate them on the benefits of e-panchayts.

He said that as many as 150 Antodaya Bhawan will be established up to the level of blocks so as to enable the people residing in villages and wards to avail benefits of about 300 government welfare schemes being implemented for all sections of society.

Initially, the facility will be made available in six districts from 14 April. He said that the middlemen system in giving jobs has completely been abolished and now jobs are being given only on merit basis.

Later speaking to reporters, the CM said Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) is left only with the task of opposing and showing black flags. The party name should now be black flag party, he said. INLD workers had shown black flags to the CM. He assured that all the development projects will be completed in a time bound manner.

The CM greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti and said that the following the message of non-violence as preached by Bhagwan Adinath to Bhagwan Mahavir, large scale development works are being carried out across the strata.
