DMRC MD conducts night inspection on Blue Line to monitor progress of ongoing passenger amenities related works

DMRC’s Managing Director Dr. Vikas Kumar, conducted a comprehensive night inspection (July 10/11) of the Blue Line to review the progress of ongoing infrastructure and passenger amenity enhancement works being undertaken at various stations along the corridor.

“Dr. Kumar inspected and reviewed station remodelling works, installation of new escalators, realignment of AFC Gates etc and other passenger-centric infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving the overall commuter experience,” a DMRC spokesperson said on Saturday.

Some of these stations are Dwarka Sec-14, Dwarka Mor, Rajouri Garden, Karol Bagh, R K Ashram, Indraprashta, Noida City Centre etc.

Dr. Kumar instructed the officials to ensure that public convenience and safety remains our highest priority while executing all developmental and upgradation works.

He also emphasised the need for maintaining quality, timely execution and minimal inconvenience to commuters.

Such detailed night inspections are regularly carried out after operational hours to closely monitor the progress of all passenger-related facilities without disrupting metro services.

“The night inspection started at midnight(12 pm) from Dwarka Sec-21 station and concluded at Noida City Centre station at 05:00 am today,” a DMRC spokesperson said.

“The DMRC undertakes majority of its maintenance/infrastructure enhancement activities on operational lines in limited time available during night hours only without any inconvenience to passengers/disruption to normal services,” the spokesperson added.
