Deputy Mayor Monika Pant participates in special cleanliness drive in Karkardooma Village

Deputy Mayor Dr. Monika Pant on Friday participated in a special cleanliness drive organised in Karkardooma Village located in the Shahdara South Zone.

The Deputy Mayor inspected the sanitation in the area and raised awareness among local residents regarding cleanliness.

She told the citizens that keeping Delhi clean, hygienic and beautiful is a shared responsibility.

The Deputy Mayor urged residents to segregate wet and dry waste generated in their households and advised against mixing plastic waste with other types of waste.

Dr. Pant said waste segregation not only improves sanitation systems but also contributes significantly to environmental conservation.

She affirmed the commitment of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to realising the vision of a clean and green Delhi as pledged by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

She urged the citizens not to litter public places and to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings.

The Deputy Mayor remarked that the participation of every citizen is essential in building a clean and beautiful Delhi.

During the event municipal officials and local residents actively participated in the cleanliness drive and pledged to keep the area clean.
