In a major breakthrough, Punjab Police on Tuesday arrested two members, each belonging to Lawrance Bishnoi gang and Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar.

The two accused, Gagandeep Singh alias Gaagi and Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi, are natives of Dabbwali in Haryana’s Sirsa district, according to SSP Mohali Vivek Sheel Soni.

He claimed they were apprehended near Mohali. They were discovered with two 32 caliber pistols, eight rounds, and a Scorpio motor car.

Soni claimed the two kept in communication with Godly Brar via criminal Manpreet Singh alias Manna, who allegedly furnished assassins with a Toyota Corolla car in exchange for killing Sidhu Moosewala.

Manpreet Singh was recently detained in the Moosewala murder case.

Both of the arrested defendants were acting on Brar’s orders, smuggling illegal weapons across the Punjab-Rajasthan border and delivering them to the shooters.

According to Soni, the Mohali police, working with an unit from the Anti Gangster Task Force, initiated an operation after receiving a tip. While on their way to deliver a batch of guns, Gagandeep and Gurpreet were apprehended along with arms and ammunition.

Further investigation is in process, he added.
