Just a short spell of heavy rain was enough to bring traffic in the national capital to a standstill, with jams reported from many parts of the city.
Waterlogging at several roads caused slowed down traffic movement at various intersections with commuters experiencing a harrowing situation similar to the one they witnessed on Friday.
Though the rains brought down the humidity level in the city and settled the minimum temperature at 25 degrees Celsius, the waterlogging was enough to frustrate denizens.

In a repeat of Friday’s incident when a DTC bus was seen stuck in high water level under the Minto Bridge, another bus got stuck at the same place in a similar situation. According to reports, passengers were rescued to safety.

The weatherman has predicted that rainfall would continue and the mercury is expected to settle below the normal levels.
“Heavy rainfall is expected in various areas in the city during the day. The maximum temperature will settle around 35 degrees Celsius,” an MeT official said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 37.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum stood at 28.6 degrees Celsius.
