With general election around the corner, the BJP ruled South Corporation has launched area visit move for four days to enquire the statuses of sanitation and the projects which is being delayed for long times.
According to sources, Mr Manish Gupta, Commissioner of the civic body, had gone to west zone where he inspected the community centre of Rajouri Garden and the construction site of J-8 parking of this area. He directed the concerned officials to expedite the construction work. He has also directed officers and workers in the concerned corporation to keep special focus on sanitation and cleanliness.
He warned that lackadaisical approach on the part of officials would not be tolerated.
Mr Gupta also checked the sanitary condition of the area and registered complaint in this regard after finding improper cleanness. In Subhash Nagar the Commissioner directed the officials to complete the work of outfall of drains before monsoon.
Reportedly the civic body also has completed the survey of unsanitary latrines in its area.
As per report total 6,123 latrines have been spotted in its four zone including Najafgarh zone, West zone, Central zone and in South Zone. The commissioner directed to its officials to work as per act for benefits of public.
