Delhi University’s Ramjas College has received an anonymous letter claming that around 13-14 general candidates have used a fake Scheduled Caste certificate during the three-day job interview for the post of ad-hoc in the College.
The College received the letter on Tuesday which claimed that from the 200 candidates who came for the job interview held in the department of commerce, around 13-14 general candidates had allegedly used fake SC certificate to grab an ad-hoc teacher post. " We had three-day job interview for ad-hoc teachers post. Yesterday, we received a letter from an anonymous person. The mail named around 13-14 general candidates who were interviewed. It claimed that the general candidates were using fake SC certificate," said a College teacher.
He added that if the letter is found true, such things will not be tolerated. Dhaniram, Assistant professor and President of SC/ST teachers association in Delhi University said that the matter is being investigated by a committee and the letter has been sent for verification to the teachers in charge of department of commerce. In the three-day job interview for ad-hoc teachers, around 200 candidates were interviewed: one post for scheduled caste, one for scheduled tribe, four OBC and six posts for general category. The selected candidates will join from the coming academic session.
