New Delhi, 14 July
Campus Front of India today held a protest at Jantar Mantar against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s insensitive comment of comparing the consequences of the Gujarat riot victims as “puppy death.”  Ubaidurrahhman, the state president of Campus Front demanded Modi to immediately apologise for the comments. “On one hand his government in Ishrat Jahan&’s cold blooded murder has been exposed by the CBI and on other hand, he is making communal and insensitive remarks about victims of his crimes,” he said and added that it&’s a saddening and unique double standard of Indian judicial system that Modi enjoys impunity.
“We know how even the then Prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee called it a blot on him and wanted Modi to quit,” said a student adding that comparing the riot as an accident is a blunt example of thinking people as ignorant.
