“Kabir – Antarman ki Awaz” to be performed at IHC on 30 March

Sant Kabir’s couplets have inspired generations for centuries. The 15th century saint-poet has remained contemporary due to his vision that he shared with the world in the form of poetry. Kabir – Antarman ki Awaz, a musical presentation created by three acclaimed artistes, aims to showcase this legacy in front of a Delhi audience.

The musical will be performed in Delhi this week.

Kabir – Antarman ki Awaz, a collection of 10 Kabir couplets and songs composed in different styles of Indian music, will be presented at the Stein Auditorium in Delhi’s India Habitat Centre on 30 March 2019. The selected bhajans include both popular and rare gems from Kabir’s collection composed in various genres.

The musical will start with a vocal narration about Kabir that will precede every sequence explaining the thought behind the song. Kabir’s poetry will be sung live by Vidhi Sharma to the music composed by Pt Ajay Prasanna, and will be accompanied with a dance sequence by Maitreyee Pahari.

The event that will also see various artists present their pieces begins at 7 pm.
