Amid a power tussle between the Lieutenant Governor (LG) and Delhi government, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that LG is practically obstructing every scheme and every project of the government.

Kejriwal attached a tweet of Kailash Gahlot, Cabinet Minister of Delhi Government, on LG’s objection to “Teerth Yatra Yojana” and said, “I feel v v sad that LG is practically obstructing every scheme and every project of Del Govt. How do we run govt like this? My appeal to BJP – Don’t obstruct our work. I challenge ur govts in other states to compete wid us in work.”

“If LG is done wid obstructing Del govt n Del Assembly, he may like to discipline Del police n make them work, which is LG’s primary duty”, said Kejriwal in an another tweet.

Kejriwal and Baijal are at loggerheads over the administration of Delhi.

Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal slammed the Central government and Lt Governor Anil Baijal for hampering the works done by his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in favour of the poor in the capital.

Addressing the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal had said “people voted BJP to power at the Centre and AAP in Delhi, hoping for change but were disappointed with the former”.

Kejriwal had said there was no difference between BJP and LG. “Call it LG or BJP — it’s the same thing”.

Kejriwal said four years after BJP’s rule at the Centre, people were complaining about the bank frauds, in which the scammers were “made to run away by the BJP-led central government”.

“People voted against the UPA regime hoping for a change but nothing happened. First demonetisation, then GST, then sealing — the BJP has made big attacks on the traders.”

He further said that the BJP government was adamant on not bringing an ordinance against the sealing which, he said, was the “only solution to deal with it”.

“The Central government has made a joke of the country’s big institutions like RBI, CBI, RTI, Lokpal and Delhi Police.”

About his party’s government in the capital, he said people were saying that the system of education has been “revolutionised” under the rule of AAP.
