Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on Saturday acknowledged the exemplary performance of Revenue Department’s employees and officials and distributed prizes to them at a function here. The performance of its employees in the third billing cycle of 2015-16 was splendid, said DJB at an award function held in the Auditorium of the Delhi Maharashtra Education and Cultural Society, Aaram Bagh.
The function was held under the chairmanship of Kapil Mishra, Minister for Water and Chairman, DJB. Several top DJB officials including Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Keshav Chandra, S.N.A. Najmi, Member (Finance), and Nidhi Shrivastava, Director (Revenue), were present on the occasion.
"This initiative was taken to encourage the employees and officials of the Revenue Department. The aim of the Revenue Department is to complete 6 Billing cycles every year and to provide efficient services to the consumers." said DJB spokesperson Sanjam Chima.
During the function, the Zonal Revenue Offices which performed exceptionally well were given recommendation letter and cash prize. The first prize of Rs. 35,000 was given to the Pratap Nagar zone.
The second and third prizes of Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 25,000 were given to the Jhandewalan zone and the Burari zone respectively.
Chima added, "The prize money will be equally distributed among the Zonal Revenue Officer, Meter Invigilators, Meter Readers and Computer Operators who made more than 90% bills. Apart from this, under the individual category, three meter readers who performed well were given prizes."
Speaking on the occasion, Mishra said, "Revenue is an extremely important function of the Delhi Jal Board and I extend my heartiest congratulations to all those employees and officials of the Revenue Department who have won prizes for good performance."
