The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has extended free travelling facility to all disabled persons in the Capital.
According to the state bus agency, the facility will be available in both AC and non-AC buses in Delhi only.
As per DTC spokesperson, the Corporation has extended free travelling facilities to those suffering from any disability in accordance with Persons with Disabilities Act 1995.
“This facility will be available in both AC and non-AC buses in Delhi only. The categories of disabled persons, according to the Persons with Disabilities Act 1995, are blindness, low vision, leprosy-cured, hearing impairment, locomotor disability, mental retardation and mental illness,” said the spokesperson.
All concerned have been directed to adhere to the decision with immediate effect.
