St Stephen’s College in New Delhi on Tuesday announced its cut-offs for 2018. There is only a little change in the minimum percentage required by students to be called for an interview round. Other colleges affiliated to Delhi University are expected to release the list next week.

The interviews will begin from June 18.

This year’s cut-off for BA (Hons) programmes has risen to 98% for general category. For Mathematics programme, the cut-off for general category students from commerce and humanities streams has been hiked to 96.5%. The cut-off is 97.5% for science students looking to take up Mathematics.

The first cut-offs for Economics Honours for humanities and science students have been fixed at 98 and 97.5 per cent, respectively. English Honours has a cut-off just as high at 98.5 per cent for commerce, 97.5 for humanities and 98 per cent for science students.

Among science courses, it was 96% for Chemistry, 97.33% for Physics, 94.66% for BSc (Programme) and 95.66% for B.Sc (Programme) with computer science.

Requirement for Sanskrit course has fallen to 65%.

The numbers given are only for general category. The college reserves 50 per cent seats for candidates from the Christian community.

St Stephen’s cut-offs are separate from the rest of DU colleges. Unlike other colleges, St Stephen’s conducts interviews for all admissions irrespective of the course.

A total of 15 per cent weightage is given to the test and the interview, which is followed once the student crosses the percentage eligibility.

The admission process for St Stephen’s College follows five stages. The first stage begins when the college invites applications. After a day or two of the deadline, the cut-off lists are released, following which students get shortlisted for an interview. In the next step, the college calculates the test and interview scores, ahead of the final stage i.e. the registration.
