New Delhi, 13 July
It’s been almost a year since the South and North Corporations have been functioning from the Civic Centre. There has been a need to set up the office of Central Service Bureau (CSB), where works including  issuance of birth certificates, death certificates, trade licences, booking of parks and community centre and many other activities between civic body and people take place. However, the pro

posal for the same is hanging in balance as the officers are unable to go into details of its feasibility. The sources at the Civic Centre said that the Corporation has made a proposal long ago to build an office for CSB at its headquarters. This was under the scheme to facilitate the services to the residents of Delhi at nearest steps and for easy going works of officers. Wherein the work including issuance of birth certificates, death certificates, trade licences, booking of parks and community centre and many more reciprocal activity between civic body and people is being accomplished.
On being enquired whether the South has also brought any such proposal, he said, "Since the same office is being shared by two bodies, it’s not necessary to bring the proposal apparently."
Mr P K Gupta, North Corporation Commissioner said, "This proposal is hanging in balance because of security reasons. We are enquiring the feasibility for further consideration. "
"The Corporation is needed to maintain the records for making the treasure house, which is now being done at zonal level. We will soon start working on it," added Mr Gupta.
The Corporation had made it the CSB office when the headquarter was at Town Hall and everything was being handled duly without any complaint.
