Delhi Police are still groping into dark in the kidnapping case of three persons of a family, including a 40-year-old woman and her two daughters, who went missing from their house in Laxmi Nagar area of East Delhi.
For the cops, it is like finding a needle in haystack as they are still clueless even after one month of the incident. However, in a bid to strengthen their search, the agency has turned the missing report into kidnapping case by registering a case under section 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Shakarpur police station.
The complainant, Sunil Singh, who works on a higher post with Hyundai Motors, while speaking to The Statesman, suspects it to be a case of kidnapping, saying his wife Seema and his two minor daughters, Kasvi (11) and Vedika (8) had no reason to leave him as they were enjoying a happy family life.
Singh said that he had his last conversation with his both daughters on 20 June at around 10 am over phone, as he was directed by his daughters to reach home early.
“On my arrival on 20 June in the evening, I found the main door was bolted from outside after which I opened it and went inside only to discover that cell phones of my wife and children were lying in the room. At this, I smelt a rat and waited for their arrival till 10 pm after which I searched them for a while in my neighbour, making several phone calls but all in vein. At the end, I decided to approach the police,” said Sunil.  Sunil further claimed that before being kidnapped, his wife spoke only to her relatives. The entire family had also visited zoo just two days prior to the incident.  Meanwhile, the investigation sleuths probing the matter said that they are taking all possible steps to get a clue about the victims and kidnappers. The call detail history were deleted from the cell phones of the victims.  Sunil had a love-cum-arrange marriage with Seema around 16 years ago. They lived together in Laxmi Nagar area. His both daughters were studying in DAV school.
