Advocating for women rights, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, today said that equal rights should be given to women in workplace.
Addressing an international summit on Empowerment of Rural Women, she said that women are equally working like men at more than 70 percent workplaces, then why should they face discrimination.
She said that the recently introduced Food Security Bill where the elderly women are to be provided grain has further given importance to women folks at home.    "This is a good step and more such steps should be taken to enhance the power of women," said Mrs Dikshit. However, she refused to comment on Asaram Bapu in the backdrop of rape charge leveled against the self-styled godman.
