A middle aged businessman has accused the marketing manager of a noted Bollywood actor of trying to gun him down in Desh Bandhu Gupta road of central Delhi this morning.
 According to police, the complainant Hardev Singh deals in tyres from his shop in Karol Bagh and has a music production house in Mumbai. Singh claimed that he had a miraculous escape in a sudden and blind firing incident.
 In his complaint to the police, Singh claimed that this morning, when he was going in his car, he noticed two persons, one in a car while another in a bike, were following him at a short distance.
 “Before I could smell a rat, they intercepted me after which the bikers whipped out a pistol and opened fire at me. However, the bullet crossed both the windows of my car and pierced on a concrete wall. After being failed to shoot me, the accused, in turn, took a U turn and drove away from the area,” said Singh.
 Frightened with the sudden bullet attack, Singh, then stopped his vehicle to inspect its condition. Immediately, he made a police control room (PCR) call after which a team reached the spot.
 Singh claimed that he had a miraculous escape. Police inspected the area by cordoning off the spot. The fired bullet has reportedly been recovered from the wall.
 Police said that they are mulling to register a complaint under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including section of attempt to murder and other sections of Arms Act with Desh Bandhu Gupta Road police station under the jurisdiction of central Delhi.
 “We are verifying the claims and allegations made by Singh in this regard. Singh has accused a person who is reportedly associated with a famous Bollywood star. The name has been withheld,” said the police saying further investigations are underway.
