Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday said that the National Capital Territory of Delhi will unveil its official logo on 1 November, observed as Delhi Day (Foundation Day).
“This will be the first-ever official logo of the Delhi Government,” she added.
On Saturday, during a meeting chaired by the CM, the special committee set up to select the logo designs deliberated upon the shortlisted designs.
According to the Chief Minister, Delhi’s official logo will be finalised in another upcoming meeting and will be formally released on 1 November, Delhi Day (Foundation Day). Once released, the logo will serve as the permanent emblem of India’s national capital.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the initiative, the Chief Minister said, “It is a privilege for my government to have the opportunity to select Delhi’s official logo. This logo will establish the unique identity of the capital as a new emblem. The aim is for it to reflect Delhi’s modern, transparent, and people-centric governance.”
She further stated that the initiative seeks to position Delhi as a strong brand symbolising democratic values, technological advancement, and civic participation. The logo, she added, will also embody the spirit of vibrancy, unity, and progress that defines the national capital.
The meeting was attended by PWD and Water Minister Pravesh Sahib Singh, Environment and Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Chief Secretary Rajeev Verma, members of the expert committee, and other senior officials.
