Delhi Police have arrested four individuals linked to an interstate drug syndicate and recovered 531 grams of high-grade heroin, valued at over ₹3.5 crore in the international market, officials said on Saturday.

The operation, spanning Delhi, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, uncovered a well-organised supply chain targeting young people in the capital.

“The first breakthrough came when 29-year-old Surender Pandey was apprehended in East Delhi’s Nand Nagri, based on a tip-off,” a senior officer said.

Police recovered 301 grams of heroin from his possession, leading to a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

During questioning, Pandey revealed his associate Naim, a resident of Faridpur, Uttar Pradesh. Naim was tracked and arrested in Jaipur, Rajasthan, with 120 grams of heroin.

Further investigation led police to Neeru, a woman from Nand Nagri. Upon her arrest on Tuesday, she disclosed the identity of their supplier, Nazir. He was subsequently arrested in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, in possession of 110 grams of heroin.

In total, 531 grams of high-quality heroin were seized during the multi-state operation.

“All the accused are school dropouts with a history of criminal activity. Drawn by the lure of easy money, they became part of a larger network operating across state borders,” the officer added.
