In a decisive blow to organised crime, Delhi Police arrested 63 individuals during a high-intensity overnight raid at multiple locations across the national capital, officials said Saturday.

According to the police, the operation, carried out with military-like precision, involved over 500 personnel and 40 specialised teams, acting on specific intelligence to dismantle active criminal networks in the region.

“The coordinated crackdown yielded a significant haul, including nearly 15 firearms, such as pistols, along with large quantities of MDMA, cocaine, heroin, and undisclosed amounts of cash believed to be proceeds of illegal activity,” a senior officer said.

The officer confirmed that the operation targeted drug trafficking, illegal arms possession, and organised crime in vulnerable pockets of South-East Delhi.

“This was the result of weeks of surveillance and actionable intelligence. The focus was to strike hard and fast, leaving no room for escape,” the officer added.

The arrests mark a major breakthrough in the district’s ongoing fight against organised crime. Authorities indicated that further investigations are underway to identify the supply chains and financiers behind the seized narcotics and weapons.
