The Delhi Police have arrested four men in South Delhi for their alleged involvement in supplying marijuana that was sourced from Bihar through courier parcels, officials said on Saturday.

A senior police officer said 51 kg of marijuana was seized from Ravi Roshan (22), Dhirender Singh (20), Ravi Kumar (19), and Deena Nath (22), who were arrested in separate operations.

“Following intelligence inputs on drug trafficking, a police team on Monday set a trap near Satpula Jheel in Saket, along the Khirki Extension–Sheikh Sarai Road,” the officer said.

He added, “Around 4.30 pm, our team intercepted an auto-rickshaw and arrested its two occupants, Ravi Roshan and Dhirender Singh, who had concealed 25.896 kg of marijuana in the vehicle.”

During questioning, the duo revealed that a man named Chandan, based in Bihar, arranged consignments through courier services, which were received in Delhi by gang members, including Ravi Kumar. Acting on this lead, the police tracked down and arrested Ravi Kumar in Bihar.

On Friday, fresh intelligence indicated another consignment had arrived via courier service. A trap was laid near Fun Cinemas in Moti Nagar, leading to the arrest of Deena Nath, from whom 25.796 kg of marijuana was recovered.

In total, 51.692 kg of cannabis and an auto-rickshaw used for transportation were seized in the operations. The accused have been booked under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act.

The gang was active in South and Outer Delhi, sourcing the contraband from Bihar. Efforts are underway to trace the main supplier, Chandan, and other members of the network, the officer added.
