Additional directives include strengthening both human and technical intelligence in vulnerable areas and enhancing community outreach to enable more robust preventive policing.
Simultaneously, the city administration has been asked to create a central data repository containing records of doctors and paramedical staff employed by hospitals, with a focus on verifying their medical degrees.
For professionals with foreign qualifications, this information is to be shared with the police for background checks.
The administration has also been instructed to consult digital platforms and financiers involved in vehicle sales to enforce a strict ban on vehicles operating with drivers or users other than the registered owner, a problem notably acute with auto-rickshaws.
