Social Welfare Minister, Ravinder Indraj Singh

Delhi Government’s Social Welfare Minister, Ravinder Indraj Singh, on Saturday inaugurated a crucial road construction project on the A and B Block Main Market Road in Shahbad Dairy. The project will be funded through the Chief Minister’s Development Fund (CMDF).

The total estimated cost of the project is around Rs 1.89 crore, the minister said.

Addressing the gathering, Indraj said that the development of any nation is impossible without the comprehensive development of its villages.

He stated that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi Government is continuously working towards the holistic development of rural areas, which form an important part of the national capital.

He said that the Delhi Government’s clear objective is to equip the villages of the national capital with modern and improved civic infrastructure.

He added that the Chief Minister has given a clear message that rural development should remain the highest priority and that there will be no shortage of funds for development works.

Indraj also said that, in line with this vision, the construction and upgradation of roads, sewer lines, drinking water pipelines, drains, lanes and other basic infrastructure are progressing steadily across the Bawana Assembly constituency.

He further said that the main road project in Shahbad Dairy is expected to significantly improve public connectivity and further strengthen the area’s infrastructure.

The minister directed the departments concerned, all officials present on the occasion, and the executing agencies to complete all construction works within the stipulated timeframe while ensuring the use of high-quality construction materials.

He emphasised that no compromise on quality would be tolerated and that the agency concerned would be held accountable in the event of any complaint regarding the quality of work.

He also informed that several development projects are underway in the constituency, which will significantly improve civic infrastructure and enhance the quality of life of local residents.

Locals present on the occasion expressed their gratitude to the Delhi Government, stating that long-pending development works are now being completed on a priority basis.
