The amount will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of the eligible farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) from next month.

The Chief Minister directed the Revenue Department and the concerned District Magistrates to begin distribution immediately so that the relief amount reaches eligible farmers’ bank accounts at the earliest. She said the Delhi government stands firmly with its farmers in both good times and bad, and the assistance is an effort to help them recover from the heavy losses caused by nature’s fury.

She added that the affected areas have been assessed as having suffered 100 per cent crop loss, and the assistance will be transferred directly to eligible farmers with complete transparency.

The Chief Minister said that, as per the government’s decision, a total of 4,442.41 hectares of affected agricultural land across various districts and sub-divisions in Delhi has been brought under the relief scheme.
