Delhi Congress on Tuesday held a protest march from Mandi House chowk to the BJP headquarters at 11 Ashoka Road demanding a probe into the alleged financial irregularities of the firm of BJP president Amit Shah’s son, Jay Shah.
Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should show the door to Amit Shah without further delay and demanded a probe by two sitting judges of the Supreme Court into the alleged irregularities.
Number of Congress workers, carrying placards and banners, shouted slogans against the BJP president and the financial impropriety committed by the company of Amit Shah’s son.
The Congress workers shouted slogans such as “Naujawan rojgar ko tarsee Shah-jade par kripa barse”, “16 hazar guna bhada vyapar, neendh me soya chowkidar”, “3 saal janta behal, Shah ka beta malamal”, “Shah-jade par kripa apaar, chowkidar ya bhagidar”, “Shah-Modi jawab do, Jay Shah ka hisab do”.
Addressing the workers, Maken said that Prime Minister Modi, who had promised to protect the wealth of the nation without indulging in any kind of corruption by acting as a “chowkidar”, was now silent on this massive financial irregularity by the firm of BJP president Amit Shah’s son.
“It is strange that on the one hand, small and medium industries were winding up business as a fall out of BJP-led Central Government’s hastily and faultly executed demonetization and GST, Amit Shah’s son’s firm was making a huge jump in profit within one year, after the BJP came into power,” said Maken.
He alleged that the only beneficiary of demonetisation was not the RBI, the poor or the farmers, but it’s the Shah-in-Shah of demonetisation.
