Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has lauded the Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS), led by Rachna Golcha, for its efforts towards the welfare, empowerment, and holistic development of Delhi Police families.
She appreciated the society for creating meaningful opportunities for women and children through education, skill development, healthcare, and self-reliance initiatives.
The CM encouraged PFWS to expand its welfare programmes and suggested innovative sustainability initiatives, such as recycling old clothes into useful products like bags and other household items.
Gupta noted that organisations like PFWS play a vital role in strengthening the morale of police personnel by ensuring the well-being and progress of their families, and assured her continued support for such noble endeavours.
The PFWS celebrated its 54th Foundation Day at the Delhi Police Headquarters on Friday. In her address on the occasion, Rachna Golcha reaffirmed the society’s commitment to the holistic welfare and empowerment of Delhi Police families.
She highlighted key initiatives, including the Sutra Embroidery Centre, and the upcoming launch of ‘Kiran – A Ray of Hope’ for the special children of police families.
Ms Golcha outlined programmes such as health camps, grooming sessions, yoga and Zumba classes, music training, soft skills workshops, and digital learning initiatives aimed at enhancing self-reliance and personal development.
Meanwhile, families of the police force from across its 14 Welfare Centres participated with immense enthusiasm, reflecting a deep sense of unity, solidarity, and collective pride.
