Delhi CM conducts on-ground inspection to review development works at Azadpur Mandi

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday conducted an on-ground surprise inspection at the Azadpur Mandi, Gupta Market, and the surrounding areas and gave strict instructions to the officials concerned complete development works to ensure basic amenities for the public.

The officials were also issued necessary instructions to maintain cleanliness, garbage collection, and better management of the areas.
The purpose of Gupta’s visit was to review the ongoing development works by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the PWD and obtained progress reports from the officials on the ongoing projects.

She emphasized on the top priority to the facilities the movement of the local citizens while the departments carry out their work so that people do not get affected.

On the occasion, the CM issued instructions to officials for completion of all the work with transparency within the stipulated time frame and without any compromise on quality. “For the residents of Delhi, we are developing better infrastructure and facilities in line with their needs. New development works have been initiated even in areas neglected for years, and our government is working in a 24×7 mission mode to complete them on time and dedicate them to the public,” she added.

CM Gupta had a look at the drain in the area, and stressed on the cleaning and upkeep, so that no garbage is dumped into it.
On Saturday, the chief minister had conducted a surprise check of the works related to the phase 4 of the Delhi Metro at the RK Ashram Marg and also reviewed other works being done by the DMRC.

Be it the government-on-wheels initiative and time-to-time surprise checks, the Rekha Gupta government is clear about zero tolerance towards laxity or negligence when it comes to development works and maintenance of infrastructure.

Not long ago, during an inspection at the state GST office, Gupta had expressed displeasure over the absence of officers during hours hours.
The CM had also pointed at the shortcomings in terms of infrastructure, emphasizing on the safety aspect.
