Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva said on Tuesday that Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) state unit convenor Saurabh Bhardwaj questioning the relationship of the high court with the BJP amounts to an insult of the entire judicial system.

He informed that the Delhi BJP is consulting legal experts on bringing Bhardwaj’s remarks about the judge to the notice of the court.

Sachdeva further said that his party had consistently raised the issue of the alleged liquor scam under the then Arvind Kejriwal government in public interest and has also helped in connecting several pieces of evidence.

The BJP, he said, has been committed to exposing this scam so that those responsible could be punished in the interest of national capital’s revenue.

The BJP leader claimed that the issue with the AAP leaders was that any judicial officer who delivers a verdict in their favour becomes favourite with them. But the moment a judge passes an order against them, or even hears an appeal against a decision in their favour, they start questioning his impartiality and dignity.

He added that in legal matters, when a new criminal case is filed or an appeal is made against a decision, it is done with the confidence of winning. In such a situation, the BJP is expecting that those who are going to be brought ot justice in the matter will be part of the normal legal process.
