On the first day of the monsoon session of the Delhi Assembly, a discussion took place on the Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev, where the legislators of the ruling party upheld the success of the actions of the country’s armed forces, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The BJP MLAs mentioned that the success of the two military operations also exposed all those who had doubts on the country’s armed forces.
Assembly speaker Vijender Gupta, in his statement regarding the matter, congratulated everyone and said that Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, has proven to be historically decisive and successful.
He mentioned that the country’s armed forces precisely targeted and destroyed terrorist hideouts across the border. Gupta said that the operation was executed with great skill and restraint, showcasing India’s capable and formidable military strength to the entire world.
He noted that the campaign has sent a clear message that India will not tolerate any act of terrorism. Gupta added that in continuation of this effort, on July 28, under Operation Mahadev, security forces neutralised three terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack in Srinagar.
“On behalf of myself and this entire House, I extend heartfelt congratulations and express deep gratitude to the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and all the armed forces, security personnel, and intelligence agencies involved in these operations,” Gupta said.
Chief Whip Abhay Verma had given notice of a congratulatory motion on the matter.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, addressing the assembly on the matter, said that Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev were more than just military missions—they embodied the honour and dignity of every Indian household.
The CM reflected on the country’s military achievements, national security strategies, and pivotal decisions in recent history. She described the success of these operations as a moment of national pride and paid tribute to the courage and dedication of the Indian armed forces.
She added that PM Modi, through his resolute and dynamic leadership, has safeguarded the dignity, honour, and self-respect of Indian women. She strongly criticised the opposition, accusing them of consistently neglecting national interest and deliberately working to tarnish the country’s image.
Operation Sindoor, she noted, was a response to the silent suffering of India’s daughters and sisters, adding that the PM has upheld the dignity and empowered the spirit of Indian women. She further remarked that opposition parties, driven by self-interest, have distanced themselves from the nation’s welfare.
MLA Kapil Mishra said that Operation Sindoor was the first anti-terror operation where the forces crossed the border and attacked the terrorists and their establishments with utmost precision.
