As part of the recently launched Child Protection Month, all departments concerned have been directed to ensure the effective implementation of the POCSO Act, constitute Child Protection Committees in schools, conduct large-scale awareness campaigns and further strengthen child safety mechanisms across the institutions.
The CM said that the commission would play a key role in making these efforts even more effective.

It will serve as a guiding force for the Commission’s work and the Commission will fulfill its responsibilities with commitment in line with the vision.
He added that all members of the commission are committed to working round the clock to protect children’s rights, secure their future and support their overall development.
He said the child protection model being developed in Delhi can serve as an inspiration for the rest of the country.

He expressed confidence that the efforts being made under the leadership of CM Gupta for children welfare would resonate across the country and establish Delhi as a strong example in the field of child protection.

He further informed that the commission would actively work for ensuring the effective implementation of POCSO Act and all statutory provisions relating to children’s rights, taking prompt cognisance of matters concerning child safety, spreading greater public awareness, and building a robust child protection system through all the agencies concerned.
