The Tibetan spiritual and temporal leader, Dalai Lama, is coming here on 18 March as the chief guest for the convocation of the Central University of Jammu (CUJ).

According to the Vice-Chancellor of CUJ, Prof Ashok Aima, this is the first convocation of the university that came into existence on 8 August 2011.

The CUJ came into focus last year when it was among the eleven universities of the country that were declared “non-performers” but Prof Aima with strenuous efforts succeeded in pulling the CUJ out of the taint.
