Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators, Ravindra Singh Ravi and Hans Raj alleged that the Congress government was trying to take the credit for the schemes launched by previous BJP government.

In a release, they said Mata Shabri Yojna, which provides gas cylinders to 75 most poor women in each assembly segment annually, was launched in 2010 under the leadership of then chief minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal.

The BJP MLAs said while the previous BJP government had launched and implemented so many development schemes, the present Congress government is only known for corruption. They claimed that the previous BJP government had issued 5 lakh health cards, installed more than 1 lakh hand pumps,  given subsidy for over 18,000 poly houses and had distributed free CFL bulbs among others.

The BJP leaders said the Congress government is inefficient. “The government could neither benefit the people of Himachal Pradesh, nor could it accelerate the economic progress of the state,” they said. The countdown of the Congress government, they said, has begun and it would only be remembered for corruption and protecting ‘mafia’.
