Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Thursday directed the officers to ensure time-bound action on the announcements made by the government so that the fruits of development could reach to the beneficiaries well in time.

He was addressing the people of Seraj Assembly constituency through video conferencing from the state Secretariat on Thursday to take first hand information about the progress of developmental projects announced by the state government.

He asked officials to submit the action taken report regarding the issues raised by the public representatives and general public during the video conference to the Chief Minister’s office at the earliest.

Thakur said the officers should ensure speedy redressal of public grievances and work proactively for early completion of various on-going projects.
“Any laxity in this regard would be viewed seriously and strict action would be taken against the erring officers,” he said.

The Chief Minister said priority of the government was to provide adequate staff in health and educational institutions particularly in remote and far flung areas of the state.

He said that providing of basic amenities to the people particularly in rural areas was the main focus and sustained efforts had been made in this regard.

Alleging that Seraj Assembly constituency was neglected during the previous Congress regime, he said Janjehli in Seraj constituency would be developed as a major tourist destination and road leading to Shikari Mata temple would be maintained properly.

He said that forest rest house would be constructed at Dharot to facilitate the tourists. He also assured the people that Kholi-Surah, Devkanda, Riyara, Janer, Shilihi-Baghi-Deol-Jeshla and Shila Bag-Deol roads would be strengthened and maintained properly.

He said that efforts would be made to start similar practice of interacting with people of all Assembly constituencies so that general public could get direct access to the Chief Minister’s Office.

He said that efforts would be made to start heli-taxi service for Janjehli so as to facilitate the tourists. The residents of the area urged the Chief Minister to open fertilizer depot in Seraj assembly constituency besides construction of inspection hut at Bagradhach.

The people of Gram Panchayat Thana urged the Chief Minister to provide proper water supply scheme for the Panchayat. They also urged to construct lift water supply scheme from Devkhud.

The residents of Jaishalapanchayat demanded to open primary health centre and community centre at Chuni. The residents of Bagrathach requested for providing adequate Doctors in Civil Hospital Bagrathach and providing ATM facility at Bagradhach.
