Have a complaint against a Haryana builder or real estate developer? Now filing a complaint with the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Hrera) is just a click away.

The Chief Minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday launched the Hrera portal, https://haryanarera. gov.in/, to help state’s residents file their grievances with the authority ‘online’. Haryana has to set up two Real Estate Regulatory Authorities, one for the district Gurugram and another for rest of the state which is based in Panchkula.

An estimated four lakh buyers of flats or plots are believed to have been facing problems due to delay in delivering possession of the property despite making payments or inferior quality construction or change in lay-out of the project by the developer after giving possession.

The HRERA (Gurugram) chairman KK Khandelwal said flats or plots worth about 2.5 lakh crore are estimated to be waiting for completion or possession to the buyers and buyers are facing problems in properties worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore after getting the possession. The most common complaints against builders include diversion of funds from one project to another, delay in construction and chance in lay out of a projects against the promises made at the time of the launch the project.

The HRERA (Panchkula) chairman Rajan Gupta said for lodging a complaint against a builder, buyers will no longer be required to visit the authority. “Anyone can log in to out the Hrera website and file a complaint sitting at home. They will get a complaint number. Following this, the complainant will be required to visit our office only once for submitting the documents related to the complaint and the subsequent action in the case can be tracked online through the complaint number,” he added.

Besides, helping buyers lodge complaints against the builders, the portal will also help buyers in getting information regarding the approved real estate projects and registered real estate agents or developers in each district of the state.

Launching the portal, the CM said portal is part of the initiative for ensuring good governance in the state through online mediums of public service. “All doubts of buyers or builders will be addressed through this portal,” he added.

Khattar said with Hrera, the aim is go from unplanned housing to planning housing for all.
