Committee to monitor completion of Haryana projects within deadline

Haryana chief minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday directed to constitute a three-member Committee to regularly interact with the work contractors for the completion of various government projects in a time bound manner.

While presiding over a meeting to review the CM announcement five departments namely Agriculture, Urban Local Bodies, Public Works (Building and Roads), Development and Panchayats and Irrigation, he also directed to evolve a mechanism to resolve the inter-departmental issues so as to ensure that the progress of development works and projects do not hamper.

Besides, he also directed the Administrative Secretaries of the department concerned to review the progress of CM announcement every week. A list of issues which could be resolved at the level of Central government be submitted to him at the earliest, so that the same could be taken up with the Ministry concerned, he added.

Khattar said that development projects in which land issues are involved, the department concerned could upload their demand on the e-Bhoomi Portal to get suitable land.

The land would also be made available to gram Panchayats or institutions intended to set up Gau Shalas or Nandi Shalas on the ‘Gocharan Bhoomi’ in the state. Such land would be provided to them with Right to Use only, he added.

He said that the state government is working towards making Haryana, a stray-cattle free state and Gau Shalas or Nandi Shalas would be set wherever the land is available for the same.
