The Co-operative sugar mills in Haryana have crushed 117.91 Lakh quintal of sugarcane and produced over 10.54 Lakh quintals of sugar so far during the ongoing crushing season.
An official spokesperson said that cooperative sugar mill Shahabad has so far crushed a maximum of 20.72 Lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced over 1.96 Lakh quintals of sugar, followed by cooperative sugar mill Rohtak which has crushed 18.18 Lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing over 1.57 Lakh quintals of sugar.
He said Cooperative Sugar Mill Kaithal has crushed 12.49 Lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced over 1.13 Lakh quintals of sugar, Cooperative Sugar Mill Meham crushed 12.10 Lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 1.05 Lakh quintals of sugar while Cooperative Sugar Mill Karnal crushed 11 Lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 1.01 Lakh quintals of sugar.

Similarly, Gohana sugar mill has crushed 10.05 Lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 83,090 quintals of sugar, Jind sugar mill has crushed 8.74 Lakh quintals and produced 76,175 quintal of sugar, Panipat sugar mill crushed 8.50 Lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 76,100 quintals of sugar, Sonipat sugar mill has crushed 8.23 Lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 74,000 quintals of sugar and Palwal sugar mill crushed 7.90 Lakh quintals of sugarcane and thus produced 69,765 quintals of sugar, the spokesperson added.
Apart from this, Assandh sugar mill has crushed 11.26 Lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 93,600 quintals of sugar. So far, the average recovery of sugar from cooperative sugar mills has been 9.40 per cent, he said.
