Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Thursday congratulated Himachal Pradesh Kabaddi Women Team for winning the gold medal and Men Kabaddi Team for winning the bronze medal in the National level Kabaddi Competition.
The completion was held in Andhra Pradesh from 25 to 28 February.
In finals, HP Women Kabaddi Team won the gold medal by defeating Haryana by 47-35.

Similarly, in men section HP defeated Punjab to bag bronze.
Commending players for their achievement, Thakur said that the government was committed to create basic infrastructure for boosting sports activities.
“The players from Himachal Pradesh have also brought laurels to the state by winning various medals at national and international level events,” he said, adding the government is providing all basic facilities to encourage budding players to exhibit their skill and talent in respective games.
