On the occasion of World Haemophilia Day, Delhi Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh inaugurated a blood donation camp along with an awareness session at Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital.

He appreciated the efforts of doctors, Medical Superintendents (MS), and healthcare staff for the initiative and assured government’s support and assistance in further strengthening healthcare services and ensuring better patient care across the national capital.
Dr Singh said, “Blood donation is a noble act that saves lives and such initiatives not only support patients in need but also strengthen awareness and trust in our public healthcare system.”

“Our goal is to ensure that no citizen in Delhi suffers due to lack of treatment, and we are continuously working to enhance the quality and accessibility of services across government hospitals,” he added.

Emphasizing the importance of such programmes, the minister said these initiatives not only support patients, but also promote awareness about critical health conditions like haemophilia.

During his visit to the hospital, the health minister interacted with patients and their attendants to understand their concerns and experiences.

He reiterated that addressing patient needs and continuously improving healthcare delivery remains a top priority for the Chief Minister Rekha Gupta-led Delhi government.
Highlighting ongoing improvements, Dr Singh noted that Delhi’s government hospitals are witnessing steady enhancements in infrastructure and service quality, while he expressed confidence that with continued dedication from healthcare professionals and constructive inputs from medical experts, the public healthcare system will become even more efficient and patient-centric.
