Apparently irked over the third FIR lodged against him pertaining to Anmol chit fund scam, former Chief Minister Raman Singh’s son Abhishek Singh termed the complaints as politically motivated and threatened to sue those tarnishing his image in a court of law.

Ambikapur Kotwali Police lodged two separate FIRs against former Rajnandgaon MP Abhishek, Madhusudan Yadav and former Rajanandgaon mayor Naresh Dakaliya. Third FIR was lodged on Wednesday against these leaders along with 17 directors of Anmol India for cheating.

Complainant Prem Prakash Gupta stated that Abhishek, Madhusudan and Dakaliya were the star campaigners for Anmol India which cheated hundreds of crore from the poor households under ponzy schemes.

Abhishek who maintained patience after first two FIRs were lodged against him on 30 May and 3 June, lost his cool and came up with a press note threatening to sue those were dragging him into a scandal he has nothing to do with.

“ I have never been associated with Anmol India in any capacity and I was not the star campaigner of the fraudulent company. I had attended a function of school allegedly run by the company in 2014 just after I was elected as the member of parliament in 2014 hustings”, he claimed. Terming the FIRs as politically motivated, Singh said he will soon file defamation suit against the complainant who have been pressurised to drag me into the case.

He also clarified that Rajnandgaon police already had an investigation into this case gave me a clean chit.

However, obviously under political pressure, Police is not allowing him the access to the investigation report now, he alleged.

Abhishek, who has already been facing several litigations against him in Augusta Westland chopper scam and alleged offshore accounts mentioned in Panama papers, was denied a party ticket in the recently held Loksabha hustings, given the controversies surrounding him.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel who was allegedly targeted by the saffron dispensation during his 5 year stint as PCC president, has been instrumental in action taken against former CM Raman Singh and his close associates Mukesh Gupta( A Director General Of Police rank IPS officer), Aman Singh and several others in different cases ever since he took reigns of the state. Opposition BJP, which trounced in assembly polls last year, dubs every action against the former CM Raman Singh and others as part of ‘Badalapur Ki Rajniti’ or the vendetta politics.
