If seven more judges are sworn in this court, 40 judges will some how be able to tide over the huge number of backlog of cases. More cases have been added to this list in the past few weeks of staying away, Mr Majumdar said.

The staying away period will continue till 16 March. The lawyers’ delegation is scheduled to be meet the Union law minster the next day.
