A passenger train and a goods train collided in Bhairab, around 80 kilometres (50 miles) from the capital Dhaka, causing the tragedy
District collector Ramesh Chandra Rout held a meeting on Tuesday to expedite the process of identification of small investors in the chit fund companies.
The additional district magistrate, Manas Ranjan Padhi, the sub collector Sadar, Bhabataran Sahu the additional SP Ramesh Chandra Panigrahi, Addl project director( finance) Ajay Kumar Sethi and tehsildars were present.
Collector Rout besides stating that the guidelines issued by the state government for identifying the small investors should be adhered strictly and nobody should be left out as it will help in refunding money to depositors duped by chit fund companies.

The tehsil offices would notify the identification process well in advance which would inform to the investors about the time, date and venue.
Each team comprising three members including a RI and a police ASI while making field visit during verification the documents such as Aadhaar card, passbook and all the documents related to their investment in the chit fund companies would be verified during the process, Rout said.
