Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday attended a series of meetings before his scheduled 10-day visit to Bengaluru for naturopathy treatment.

The chief minister met the officials of power and water ministries, which come amid a huge supply crunch that was highlighted by the BJP during his nine-day sit-in protest at Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal’s office.

The official Twitter handle of the Aam Aadmi Party shared the pictures of the meeting and wrote: “Delhi CM @ArvindKejriwal chairs meeting of Power Deptt. & DISCOMs. Seeks everyday status report of all areas in Delhi with problems/action with the solution. Directs Department to implement the subsidy policy for tenants as soon as possible.”

Kejriwal also chaired a meeting of the Delhi Jal Board where he reviewed the status of water projects. He is also expected to attend a cabinet meeting before he leaves.

Kejriwal will fly to Bengaluru on Thursday night to join a 10-day naturopathy course.

According to officials at the CM office, Kejriwal has not been keeping well after ending the nine-day long sit-in at L-G’s office. During the protest, his blood sugar levels had increased and even insulin injections were not working.

The chief minister had attended the naturopathy treatment in Bengaluru in the past for chronic cough problem. He was due to attend the course there last month itself, the officials said.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said the sugar levels were “troubling” Kejriwal and he had a prior programme to join the naturopathy course.

Kejriwal’s visit to Bengaluru will delay his meeting with IAS officers. The L-G had written to Kejriwal asking him to meet the IAS officers “urgently” to address their concerns.

During the sit-in at the L-G office, Kejriwal had assured IAS officers of their “safety”, calling them as part of a family.
