Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Friday said ever since the Election Commission announced the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) in Delhi along with the rest of the country, AAP leaders Saurabh Bharadwaj, Arvind Kejriwal and others have developed a phobia.
Sachdeva, alleged that the AAP leaders fear that the fake voters converted into a core vote bank by previous governments in Delhi will now be exposed.
He claimed that the BJP had raised the issue of bogus voters during the elections, and the outcome of that effort is visible to all.
Sachdeva alleged that had former CM Kejriwal actually had worked and toured the constituencies, he would have known how many government quarters were vacated, how many were demolished, where new buildings were coming up, and how many people were relocated.
He further said that now, if the people who moved out wanted their votes registered, they should have applied, and added that if AAP had active workers, they would have facilitated those applications, but rather failed and are now crying foul.
Delhi BJP chief challenged Bharadwaj and Kejriwal, stating that if their accusations carry weight, then they must file a formal complaint with the Election Commission along with an affidavit.
“If you believed they were your voters, you should have ensured their names were on the electoral rolls, ” he said addressing the AAP leaders.
Sharpening his attack, Delhi BJP chief further said that for the past 26 years, the national capital has been under the rule of Kejriwal and Congress, and claimed that everyone knows how infiltrators were sheltered in the city.
