75 major development schemes to be launched from Sept 17- Oct 2: Delhi CM

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced that her government will begin unveiling major new schemes to the people of the city starting from September 17, to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, beginning the ‘Seva Pakhwada’, which will go on till October 2.

She has said that significant schemes will be announced on a daily basis for 15 days, and out of these, a total of ‘major 75 schemes are going to play a crucial role in the city’s development.

In this regard, a special meeting was convened on Saturday at the Delhi Secretariat under the chairmanship of the CM to discuss preparations for the Seva Pakhwada, attended by Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, Members of Parliament, Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, Councillors, and party officials.

In the meeting, Gupta said that this occasion reflects the shared commitment of the triple-engine government (Central Government, Delhi Government, and Municipal Corporation).

The decision regarding the schemes will provide a new momentum and greater heights to Delhi’s development, playing a key role in the city’s progress towards becoming a ‘Viksit Delhi,’ Gupta added.

She further informed that during the fortnight service, Delhiites will receive a new ‘gift’ every day.

Whether it is a cleanliness drive, a blood donation camp, the foundation laying or inauguration of new schemes, or the dedication of development projects, each activity will be devoted to the public and carried out with the active participation of public representatives, the CM said.

The CM claimed that in the past six months, neither the Ministers, nor she herself had taken a single day off from work, adding that It is the result of this relentless effort that the long-pending projects are now being dedicated to the people.

Gupta made a particular mention of the ambitious Ayushman Arogya Mandir scheme, which will be launched during the Seva Pakhwada by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and added that it will prove to be a milestone in providing quality healthcare services to the people of Delhi.
