Pradeep Kasni

Apart from witnessing nearly 70 transfers in his over 34 years of service, the senior Haryana IAS officer Pradeep Kasni who is popular for locking horns with state government over several issues, finally retired on Wednesday with a promise to come out with a book about the alleged difficulties faced government service.

Talking to The Statesman, Kasni said that he would write book revealing all what he witnessed during his government service in Haryana while working under various regimes. Kasni said, “I want to do two books in fact, one in narrative mode, the magical realistic mode.

Second is memoirs about what I have witnessed in more than 30 years in the service and this would cover the difficulties faced while working in public administration and my experience so far.

This would be more reveling, however it would not be right to disclose anything at this stage.” “You could say, it would be invoking Sahir (famous poet). Duniya ne tajurbaat-o-hava di skishakl mein jo kuchh mujhe diya hai, wo lauta raha hun main. (I am returning whatever the world has granted me by way of experiences),” he said.

Kasniwoh has worked with nearly seven Chief Ministers including Devi Lal, Bansi Lal, Hukam Singh, BhajanLal, Om Prakash Chautala, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Manohar Lal Khattar, refuted all rumors on joining politics.

On his transfers, Kasni claims whenever he tried to oppose a wrong thing, he was treated with transfers.

“Transfers were not a big issue for me but the transfer in present regime was more than a joke. I was transferred just because I refused to promote corruption,” Kasni said.

Presently, he was serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in Haryana Land Use Board for past six months.
