Strengthening Delhi’s public healthcare infrastructure, the Chief Minister Rekha Gupta-led government will dedicate 45 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs under the 7th phase of the initiative, further expanding access to quality primary healthcare services across the national capital.
Speaking on the development, Delhi Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh said these centres will bring essential healthcare services closer to communities, with a strong focus on preventive, and comprehensive primary healthcare.
The inauguration comes after 370 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs already operational successfully across the city, including 244 Urban Sub- Health Centres and 126 Urban Primary Health Centres, which reflects state government’s sustained commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.
The newly-inaugurated Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will provide a range of healthcare services, including maternal and child healthcare, immunisation, screening and management of non-communicable diseases, treatment of common illnesses, essential medicines, diagnostics, and health promotion and wellness services.
“The planned dedication of 45 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs marks another important milestone in our efforts to make quality healthcare accessible, affordable and equitable for every resident of Delhi,” Dr Singh said, adding that, “These centres will serve as the first point of contact for comprehensive primary healthcare, with an emphasis on preventive care, early diagnosis and timely treatment.”
The minister has said that government is committed build a robust healthcare system under the leadership of CM Rekha Gupta, by continuously expanding quality healthcare infrastructure across the city.
“Our vision is to ensure that every citizen has access to reliable healthcare services close to home,” added Health Minister.
